It has really dawned on me recently that adulthood has crept up on me, mainly due to the following reasons...

1. I would much prefer to stay home on a weekend and have a few glasses of red in front of the TV with a face mask, some chocolate and lots of scented candles and fairy lights.

2. Buying new irons, hoovers, washing machines and all other household appliances excite me.

3. I tend to get more excited over homeware shopping than clothes shopping.

4. I recently opened a help to buy ISA so me and the boyf might actually be able to buy a home in the next few years

5. My bed time is 11pm and I like to ensure I get my reccomended 7/8 hours sleep at night.

6. I get excited when I actaully get ID'd in the supermarket as it rarely happens anymore.

7. I like olives.

8. Everyone in my year from school is now either buying a house, getting married or having babies.

9. All of my evenings consist of doing housework.

10. Parts of my body just genrally ache; my shoulders, my back, my hips, my knees, I'm just getting all round creaky.

Anyone else feel like they were just launched into adulthood without even realising it?

A DAY IN THE LIFE 14.07.17

I absolutely love watching peoples daily/weekly vlogs and gaining an insight into other peoples day to day lives. Since I don't have the balls to actually vlog my own life I thought I'd do a blog post instead to share with you just how mundane my life is! I know this will be ridiculously boring to the majority however I love stuff like this because I'm such a nosey person.
So my day tends to start between 7am and 7:30am depending on my previous nights sleep! As soon as I get up 99% of the time I'm so hungry so breakfast is usually the first thing I do and then I feel almost human. My favourite go to brekkie at the moment is this rather unattractive concoction! It is overnight oats with a tablespoon of honey, half a tablespoon of cocoa powder and a banana. It doesn't look the most appetising but it absolutely delicious!

Breakfast eaten, dog and guinea pig fed and it's time to get myself ready. Today I opted for all black as it was grey and miserable outside and I wasn't feeling like putting in much effort cause it's Friday and I am so ready for the weekend! (Please ignore my disgusting mirror, I never know how they get so dirty! Also please ignore the horrible carpets in our house, its a rented property!)

I tend to set off around 8:30am. Work starts at 9 but I like to be at least 10 minutes early so I can have a slower start to prepare myself for the day ahead. I also love to whack on a really good Spotify playlist in the car to help put me in a good mood for the day, today's choice was 'Feel Good Friday' as I thought it was very fitting!

Work is always really busy during the summer months so today was a bit non stop. I always have a peppermint tea to start the day because it's so tasty and apparently has all kinds of health benefits!

As you can tell I totally forgot I was doing a day in the life and lunch was almost over before I remembered! Not that it was the most photogenic to begin with! Today's lunch as a jacket potato and beans because it was quick and easy to grab on my way out the door this morning as I forgot to prep anything last night!

Another day of appointments and arsey customers over and done with and it is finally the weekend! Work finishes at 5:30pm and I had the pleasure of getting stuck in a shed load of rush hour traffic this evening, the joys!
Friday's tend to be food shop days. Me and Paul are really trying to make a conscious effort to save some money so I decided to go to Aldi for the weekly shop this week! A whole trolley full of stuff plus some alcoholic treats all for £60!

Friday's also tend to be pizza and wine nights in our household and we even treated ourselves to nibbles this evening too! Oh well, weekends are made for treat days!

And of course, when 9pm rolls around its Love Island time! I've also smashed all my nice wine glasses so I have to deal with these tiny ones for the time being - first world problems or what?!

Hope you enjoyed the rather dull insight into my life! If you have ever done any of these or will do one please feel free to leave your links!

I recently celebrated my 24th birthday and it sort of made me realise that my life is very rapidly flashing before my eyes and next year I'll actually be a quarter of a century old! So here is my quick list of things I've learned during my 24 years on this planet...

1. Adulting is HARD, just remember there are many others who have no idea what they are doing either.

2. Learning to drive is one of the best things you can do, one word - FREEDOM!

3. Taking your make up off before bed is VERY important if you want your skin to look even half decent in the morning.

4. Moisturising daily is even more important because my skin can be drier than the Sahara bloody desert.

5. Obsessing over food/weight/exercise is a complete waste of time and no fun at all.

6. It's okay to not know what you want to do with your life, just take each day as it comes and stop feeling the pressure.

7. Not everyone will like you and you will not like everyone, do not take it personally.

8. Life is short, before you know it you are 24 years old, living in a different part of the country with your boyfriend and dog and with a whole new group of friends. Who know's where you will be in another 24 years! Make the most of it!

9. Appreciate the little things, do not let life get on top of you.

10. SAVE MONEY. I may have not started early enough but at least I've now learned how to actually start saving successfully.

11. It's totally okay to have a day where you do not change from your PJ's and you just sit in bed/on the sofa and binge watch The O.C for the 74497795834782nd time and each all of the pizza and all of the chocolate and forget about all of your responsibilities for 24 hours.

12. Social media (especially you, Instagram) is not quite all as it seems! People only share the good parts, never compare your life to someone else.

13. Finding a hobby is not only rewarding but it is great to set yourself goals and step away from everything to spend time doing something you really love.

14. If you have been out for a few drinks and returned home past your bedtime always make sure to take off your make up, put on your pj's, have a snack and take up a massive drink of water to bed with you!

15. At home gel nail kits are a game changer.

16. Always take a shopping list when grocery shopping.

17. ALWAYS exfoliate before fake tanning, also don't attempt to put on fake tan without a mirror.

18. Stop holding on to clothes you might wear.

19. Appreciate your friends and family and make time to spend time with them.

20. If you're having a bad day, just remember that you'll soon be back in bed and the day will be over.

21. Don't lie in bed wondering why you can't sleep whilst endlessly refreshing twitter/instagram on your phone.

22. Being sociable is important. As much as you would like to sit and home on your own under a blanket on the sofa all night, you will not regret going out and spending some quality time with people.

23. Work hard, even if it is not something you see yourself doing years down the line, put your all into everything you do.

24. Make time for date nights.

Right, so, I don't know what it is but I've recently been seeing soooo many things that I want to buy but I've just got no money and the moment and any money I do have to spare I need to be saving. I've had the biggest urge recently to go through all of my wardrobe and accessories and get rid of anything ''ve not worn in the past year and invest in a bit of a capsule wardrobe. However, as I have previously mentioned, I've not really gor the funds at the moment to go ahead and purchase said caspsule wardrobe! I thought that for now I would just get everything I've been drooling over into a wishlist then I can either ask for one or two items for my birthday and maybe treat myself to one item every month or two.

I've been drooling over this particlar watch since it popped up as a sponsored instagram image (successful marketing there!) and I've had the image saved on my phone ever since. At £79 it is still pricey but not quite as pricey as the likes of Daniel Wellington or Michael Kors etc. I love the colours and I just think it would go with absolutley everything and I have never really owned an expensive watch before!

I know it wouldn't match the watch brand-wise however, the rose gold matches the face on the cluse watch and I think they would look so classy together. I also wasn't so keen on the Daniel Wellington matching watches as I really wanted a grey strap as I think it compliments the rose gold so well.

Again, as part of the capsule wardrobe, I would like to own a really nice pair of sunglasses. I only every buy cheap primark ones and end up losing or breaking them and not really caring cause they never cost more than £1. However, I would really love to own a nice pair of sunglasses that I can keep and just look that little more classy. I loved these in particlar as I have never owned the butterfly lense shape and I feel like I could pull them off a lot more that I would the cat-eye which just look a bit odd with my face shape.

I already have one Pandora ring which I got from my sister for my bithday a few years back and I love it. I love stacking rings and these are such lovely quaility, and none of the green stains!

Due to my height I find midi dresses are a lot safer for me to wear and there is no risk of my flashing my bum cheeks to the world. I love this plain black dress as again, it is a staple piece and can be dressed up or down depending on the occassion, plus its a bargain at £12!!

Now this is pretty pricey, but again a major staple of a capsule wardrobe is a nice comfy hoodie, which believe it or not, I do not actually own! I really loved the neck on this one in particualr as it just makes a really simple item a little more interesting.

I love this vest and I do not have any nice work out tops as I only ever seem to buy nice leggings and wear old vest tops. It's more than I would ususally pay for a simple racer vest top however, I am a sucker for adidas workout clothes as I find them really comfortable and wash really well.

Now I do currently own a pair of these, however they are completely falling apart as I ave owned them for years. They are easily my most worn shoes, so that pretty much speaks for its self as to why they are featured in this list!

I love these and I've never owned a pair of Nike trainers. Again, these would go with anything and look very comfortable!

As I am 5'11 I have to get my jeans from the tall sections which are usually a littler harder to find and never quite feature the same amount of stuff as the regular sizes. However, I need to pretty much get rid of all of my jeans at the moment as they have all stretched out due to over-washing and just look wrecked. The holes on the knees of my current ripped jeans have stretched out so much it looks so bizarre when I wear them so these are a must!

Let me know what you're currently adding to your wish list!
